Welcome to Mommy: Pregnancy & Baby Care (“we,” “our,” or “us”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience on our app. This Privacy Policy outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your information.

1. Information We Collect

To provide you with personalized pregnancy and postpartum care, we collect the following types of information:

  • Personal Identifiers: Your name and email address.
  • Pregnancy Health Data: Pregnancy week, due date, weight logs, blood pressure readings, daily symptoms, nutrition logs, water intake, and medication records.
  • Postpartum & Baby Data: Baby feed logs (breastfeeding, pumping, bottle), baby sleep sessions, baby growth measurements (weight, height, head circumference), diaper logs, and postpartum recovery notes.
  • AI Chat History: Conversations with Amma AI, including health questions and responses, used to provide contextual guidance.
  • App Usage Data: Analytics data about how you interact with app features, used to improve the experience. This includes session recordings and heatmaps collected via Microsoft Clarity.
  • Crash & Diagnostic Data: Anonymized crash reports to help us fix bugs and improve stability.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used solely to deliver and improve Mommy’s services:

  • Provide personalized week-by-week pregnancy guidance, meal plans, and exercise recommendations.
  • Track baby development, growth milestones, and postpartum recovery.
  • Power Amma AI, our Google Gemini-powered assistant, with context about your pregnancy week, health logs, and baby data.
  • Send relevant reminders (prenatal appointments, medication doses, postnatal checkups).
  • Analyze app performance and improve features using aggregated, anonymized usage data.
  • Understand user behavior through Microsoft Clarity (session recordings and heatmaps) to improve usability.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. Your information is never shared with third-party advertisers or data brokers.

Your data may be processed by the following carefully vetted third-party services, solely to deliver core app functionality:

  • Google Firebase: Authentication, database storage, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Google Gemini AI: Powers Amma AI responses. Chat inputs are sent to Google’s API under strict data processing agreements.
  • Microsoft Clarity: Collects anonymized session recordings and heatmaps to help us understand how users interact with the app. Clarity does not track personally identifiable health data. See Microsoft Clarity’s privacy policy.

All third-party partners operate under confidentiality agreements and are prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to us.

4. Data Security

We take the security of your health and personal data seriously. All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Firebase security rules restrict access to your data so only your authenticated account can read or write it.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide our services:

  • Account Data (name, email): Retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
  • Health & Baby Data (pregnancy, postpartum, baby logs): Retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
  • AI Chat History: Retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
  • App Analytics Data: Retained for up to 12 months in aggregated, anonymized form.
  • Clarity Session Data: Retained for up to 12 months per Microsoft Clarity’s data retention policy.

6. Your Rights: Data Deletion

You have full ownership of your data. You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time:

All personal data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days of a deletion request.

7. Children’s Privacy

Mommy is designed for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately at support@pregnancycare.app.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
